Table centrepiece ideas for your Whitsunday wedding (part 2)

For brides wanting a colourful wedding we’ve got lots of ideas. This season’s wedding trends are full of bright colours and bold patterns, and we love how impressive they look! Of course we work with a lot of different venues here in Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays, and we’d be more than happy to work with you to customise a colourful wedding theme to suit your chosen reception venue.

Here are some of the latest wedding colour trends we love…

Chevron table linen or table runners

We love this combination for a fresh beach-side wedding: aqua and white chevron linen (or a long table runner) with fresh white floral, and beach accents like large white coral pieces. We have a collection of large pieces of coral and shells for your Whitsunday wedding, all sustainably sourced and approved. Chevron is the latest ‘hot trend’ in all styling, from interior design and home décor, to fashion, right through to weddings. Chevrons also look great in yellow/lemon and white, grey and white, or coral/orange and white.

Black and white wedding theme

Speaking of chevron, black and white is a classic and timeless colour combination, and allows you to get quite bold with your floral colour choices. Though solid stripes are just as striking!

To create a complementing ‘chill-out’ area, a collection of ottomans in several different B&W patterns would look stunning! (these are just examples, we may source different fabrics than those shown)…

Bright and colourful weddings

If you want to make a statement at your wedding, combine two strong colours such as aqua and pink for a striking table centrepiece.

For the most impact, keep the colours in ‘blocks’ such as vases all in one colour, and flowers all in a single contrasting colour.

If you’re a bright and bubbly person with a colourful personality, let it shine through on your wedding day with a multitude of colours! A rainbow wedding can go one of two ways. If you decide you want to go down the path of full colour, we’d be more than happy to guide you to ensure you deliver a bright colourful wedding that is remembered for all the right reasons.

How to make the rainbow wedding idea work

The way to make a multitude of colours work is to ensure the whole design isn’t too busy or cluttered. Some great ways of doing this are:

– A neutral base such as white chairs, a plain white or coloured table linen or runner, with centrepieces of mixed bright colours

– A neutral base such as white chairs, a plain white or coloured table linen or runner, with a different colour centrepiece on each table. We have three different options for plain white chairs, allowing you the choice to choose one to suit your style

– Pick one colour as your base colour for the more prominent items like your chair covers/wraps and table linen/runners, then introduce the ‘colour explosion’ in feature elements such as hanging lanterns, floral in the centrepieces, ribbons on the napkins, bonbonniere gifts etc

Have all white table linen and a colour explosion above!
